Shark's Tooth
Southern Maryland is one of the premier locations in the world for finding fossilized shark teeth, primarily originating from the Miocene Epoch (approximately 10 to 20 million years ago). During this era, southern Maryland was covered by a warm, shallow marine environment known as the Salisbury Embayment, which was teeming with ancient marine life and served as a prime hunting and nursery ground for large predatory sharks.
I wanted to tell a joke about a shark tooth, but it doesn't have much of a bite.
